A company in the energy sector had a long background of security meaning only one thing - physical protection of assets. The emerging changes in society, with cyber attacks taking over as the major threat were not handled properly and the company was vulnerable. CMI was engaged to support strategy development and to run an enterprise wide Information Security program, covering everything from raising awareness to the implementation of practical protection within IT defense. As a result, the identified vulnerabilities were addressed, and a compliance measurement and governance framework was introduced to ensure that the security advancements would "stick" over time.
